Terms & Conditions of Sale
Last updated: 3 November 2026
Overview
These Terms & Conditions of Sale and Website Use (“Terms”) apply to mediawallbackdrop.com.au, operated by Jeffrey Wang Lin, trading as Media Wall Backdrop (ABN 81 751 755 233) (“Media Wall Backdrop”, “we”, “us” and “our”). We are based at 6 Hathern Street, Leichhardt NSW 2040, Australia.
We supply custom-printed event and exhibition displays, such as fabric media walls, replacement skins, flags, banners, tablecloths, custom gazebos, hanging banners, SEG lightbox prints, frames and accessories. These Terms apply to visitors, purchasers and other users of our website. By placing an order, you agree to the applicable Terms and any product-specific requirements disclosed before purchase. Use of our website is also subject to the website-use provisions below.
Please read the relevant product details and the policies linked in these Terms. If a provision conflicts with a non-excludable right under Australian law, that right prevails.
1. Online Store Terms and Eligibility
Customers must provide accurate information when placing an order and must be legally capable of entering into the transaction or have appropriate authorisation. You may not use our website, services or products for an unlawful purpose, breach intellectual property rights, introduce malicious code or interfere with site security.
We may reasonably refuse, suspend or cancel a transaction where, for example, there is suspected fraud, unlawful content, a genuine supply problem or an unresolvable order specification issue. We will explain an affected order's status and handle any payment or refund in accordance with applicable law.
2. Products, Specifications and Availability
Product details, materials, dimensions, options, printing sides, bases, inclusions and prices are described on the relevant product page or agreed quotation. Please check your chosen options before ordering. Hardware, printed fabric and replacement skins may be sold as separate items; an image of a complete display does not necessarily mean every pictured component is included.
Website photographs, past-event photographs, sample renders and mock-ups are illustrative. Actual materials, lighting, dimensions and finishing details may differ, but supplied goods must match the agreed description and meet applicable consumer guarantees. Some items are made to order. If a selected product or component cannot be supplied as agreed, we will contact you to discuss the available options and any appropriate refund.
3. Website Information, Errors and Updates
We work to keep product descriptions, templates, prices, images and availability information accurate. If we identify an apparent error before accepting an order, we may contact you to clarify the correct terms; you will have an opportunity to accept the proposed correction or receive an appropriate refund if the order does not proceed. An accepted order will not be changed unilaterally without your agreement or another lawful basis.
General website information may be updated over time. Where an updated description differs from an already accepted order, the specifications agreed for that order will continue to apply unless the parties agree otherwise or the law requires a different outcome.
4. Prices, GST, Quotations and Payment
Prices are expressed in Australian dollars (AUD). The total price payable will be communicated before the purchase is completed, including GST and unavoidable charges where applicable; separately selected delivery and optional services will be shown or agreed as appropriate. Any quotation should be reviewed for its stated inclusions, exclusions and validity period. Please contact us if the treatment of GST on a displayed price is unclear.
Payment must be made using a payment method offered at checkout or otherwise agreed. If an order cannot proceed after payment because of an error or supply issue, we will contact you promptly to resolve the matter and provide a refund where appropriate. A payment receipt or automatic acknowledgement does not by itself confirm acceptance of an urgent production deadline.
5. Billing, Account and Order Details
You agree to provide accurate billing and shipping addresses, contact information, product choices and artwork information. Please notify us quickly if any details require correction. We may contact you if an order appears incomplete, inconsistent or potentially unauthorised.
Orders suspected of fraud or misuse may be paused for reasonable verification. This does not remove any rights you have regarding payments, cancellation or refunds under applicable law.
6. Artwork Files and Printing Requirements
For custom-printed products, you are responsible for providing artwork that is suitable for your selected size, format and finishing requirements. Follow the applicable template and check the file's dimensions, image resolution, logos, fonts, text, spelling, margins, orientation and safe areas. Vector artwork is preferred for logos where available. Please ask us about supported file formats and technical specifications if you are unsure.
A 20 mm bleed allowance is currently required for custom fabric banners, horizontal hanging banners, trade show wall banners and SEG lightbox replacement prints. Other products may have different requirements; never assume that one product's template or bleed allowance applies to another.
See our Artwork & Printing Policy and Artwork Templates & Downloads.
7. Artwork Proofs, Checking and Approval
Where a proof is supplied, please review all details carefully before confirming it, including sponsor names, trademarks, layouts, colour references, dimensions, print sides and cropping. We may identify apparent technical issues as a courtesy, but this is not a substitute for proofreading or a professional design service unless expressly agreed.
Once the final artwork is approved, production may begin. A request to correct or replace artwork after approval may involve a revised proof, cost or production schedule and may not be feasible once printing or manufacture has started. Approval does not waive rights concerning a defect, a production error or other failure to meet Australian Consumer Law guarantees.
8. Colour Matching and Print Appearance
Colour seen on a screen or digital proof may differ from the finished print because of monitor calibration, inks, substrates, fabric texture, finishing processes and viewing conditions. Prepare files using the colour mode requested in our artwork specifications, and provide relevant CMYK or Pantone (PMS) references where accurate brand colour is important.
We will make reasonable efforts to produce colours consistent with the agreed artwork and printing method, but a precise match to a screen, previous print run or a different material may not always be technically achievable. Please tell us about any critical colour requirements before approving the artwork. This clause does not excuse a failure to meet an agreed specification or applicable consumer guarantee.
9. Design and Artwork Assistance
Custom-print product prices do not automatically include bespoke graphic design, logo recreation or extensive artwork editing unless the relevant listing or a written quotation expressly includes those services. If artwork preparation or design assistance is needed, contact us before ordering so any scope, fees, approval process and delivery implications can be agreed.
10. Copyright, Trademarks and Artwork Ownership
By submitting designs, images, words or logos for printing, you confirm that you own them or have obtained the permissions necessary for their reproduction. You authorise Media Wall Backdrop and relevant production partners to use the material as reasonably needed to prepare, print and deliver your order. Supplying artwork does not transfer ownership of that artwork to us.
Original content, templates, branding, copy and images on our website are owned by Media Wall Backdrop or used under licence. You must not reproduce or commercially exploit those materials without relevant permission, except where legally allowed. Ownership or permitted use of any separately commissioned design work will be explained in the applicable written agreement.
We will not use a customer's identifiable artwork, brand assets or completed job in public advertising, portfolios or promotional galleries without appropriate permission. If a third-party intellectual property complaint relates to customer-supplied content, we may contact you to resolve it or pause the relevant printing work where reasonably necessary and permitted by law.
11. Production Timeframes
Production time starts after final artwork has been confirmed and any outstanding order requirements have been resolved; it does not generally start when the order is first placed.
- Standard printed products: generally 4–5 working days after final artwork confirmation.
- Custom gazebos: generally 5–8 working days after final artwork confirmation.
- Eligible hardware-only orders: may be dispatched on the same working day when ordered before 2:00 pm Sydney time, subject to processing and availability.
Working days normally exclude weekends and applicable public holidays. Changes to artwork or specifications can affect completion dates. See our Production & Turnaround Policy.
12. Urgent Production
Urgent printing may be available at approximately 2 working days after final artwork approval when we have capacity and expressly accept the urgent service. Once an urgent order has been accepted, the agreed urgent production turnaround is guaranteed, subject to the agreed requirements. Urgent production does not include freight transit.
Urgent services are not currently available for custom gazebos. Paying for or selecting the Urgent Services Fee does not by itself confirm urgent acceptance. Customers with fixed event dates should contact us before purchasing.
13. Delivery, Freight and Event Deadlines
Courier and freight transit times are additional to manufacturing time and depend on the destination, carrier, parcel dimensions and service. Delivery charges will be displayed at checkout or separately quoted and agreed for specialised freight. Please provide an accurate delivery address and a suitable contact person for receipt of the goods.
We will assist with carrier enquiries about lost, delayed, damaged or incorrect deliveries and meet any obligations imposed by Australian Consumer Law. We do not treat the use of a third-party carrier as removing any legal responsibility we owe to a customer. See our Shipping & Delivery Policy.
14. Order Changes and Cancellations
Contact us promptly if you need to change an order or request cancellation. Before production begins, we will advise whether the order can be amended or cancelled and discuss any reasonable costs already incurred. Material changes to dimensions, quantities, finishes or artwork may require agreement to a revised price, proof or timeline.
Because custom goods are prepared specifically for individual orders, cancellation for change of mind may not be possible after printing or manufacturing begins. This does not limit a right to cancel or obtain a remedy under Australian Consumer Law. See our Order Changes & Cancellations Policy.
15. Returns, Refunds and Consumer Guarantees
We do not generally offer discretionary change-of-mind refunds for custom-printed goods once production has begun. Requests relating to non-custom hardware or accessories are considered under our Refunds & Returns Policy.
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law. If a product is faulty, incorrectly supplied, materially different from its agreed description or otherwise fails an applicable consumer guarantee, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, refund or other remedy depending on the circumstances. Eligible business customers may also be protected by consumer guarantees.
Please contact us with the order number, a description of the issue and photographs if available. We may reasonably inspect the issue to determine a suitable remedy. No arbitrary short reporting deadline or “no refunds” statement in these Terms displaces rights under Australian Consumer Law.
16. Product Warranties, Use and Care
Any additional manufacturer or express warranty applies only where provided for the relevant product or separately agreed in writing. It operates in addition to, not in place of, consumer guarantees. There is no single fixed additional warranty period applying automatically to every product in our range.
Customers should follow the appropriate setup and care instructions, secure frames and bases properly, handle printed fabrics carefully, and discontinue unsafe outdoor use in unsuitable weather or high winds. Damage caused solely by misuse or improper handling may not be a manufacturing defect; however, the cause of a reported issue will be assessed fairly and in accordance with law.
See our Warranty & Product Care Policy.
17. Third-Party Payments, Services and Links
Our store uses Shopify and may offer payment, delivery, analytics or other services supplied by third parties. Those services may have additional terms or privacy notices. We do not control unrelated external websites, and links do not necessarily indicate endorsement.
Where a third party helps us fulfil an order, we remain responsible for our obligations to customers under applicable Australian law. Information about our handling of personal information and service providers is in our Privacy Policy.
18. Personal Information and Privacy
Personal information supplied through purchases, customer enquiries, accounts or artwork communications is handled according to our Privacy Policy. That policy explains the information collected, relevant uses, disclosures, overseas processing, customer choices and ways to contact us.
19. Feedback, Reviews and Customer Submissions
If you choose to send feedback, questions, reviews, photographs or other comments for public publication, they must be accurate to the best of your knowledge, lawful and respectful of other people's rights. We may moderate material that is unlawful, misleading, harmful, spam or otherwise inappropriate to the operation of the website.
Sending private customer artwork or order correspondence does not grant us unrestricted permission to publish or use it in marketing. Public use of customer-specific project images, names or brand assets requires appropriate permission.
20. Prohibited Website Uses
You must not use our website to infringe copyright or trademark rights; submit material you are not permitted to reproduce; attempt fraud or identity misrepresentation; upload malware; abuse others; collect other users' personal information without authority; interfere with the website; or evade technical protections.
Where reasonably necessary, we may restrict access to prevent misuse or protect security, subject to applicable law. This does not affect rights arising from an existing purchase.
21. Website Availability and Limitations of Liability
We aim to maintain reliable website operation but cannot promise that the website will always be uninterrupted or free from technical errors. If a website interruption affects an order, please contact us so we can assist.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, statutory remedy, or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, responsibility for claims will be assessed having regard to the actual circumstances, the parties' conduct and reasonably foreseeable losses; these Terms do not impose an automatic cap that overrides Australian Consumer Law.
22. Third-Party Rights and Responsibility for Submitted Content
You are responsible for securing permissions needed to print supplied logos, images and other third-party content. If we receive a credible rights complaint, we may seek evidence of permission and reasonably suspend the affected work while the matter is assessed.
Any responsibility for a claim concerning supplied content will be determined according to the parties' actual conduct, applicable law and any separately agreed written terms. We do not require an unlimited blanket indemnity for every possible third-party claim.
23. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the website, products, operations or law. Updated terms will be published with a revised date. Changes will normally apply prospectively to later orders and do not automatically change terms already agreed for an accepted order without your consent or another lawful basis.
24. Severability and Waiver
If a particular provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to operate to the extent legally possible. A delay or failure to enforce a provision does not necessarily waive a party's rights under that provision.
25. Entire Agreement and Order-Specific Terms
These Terms, the information and selections agreed for a particular order, any accepted written quotation, and the linked policies form the relevant terms of our relationship, subject to applicable law. If an individually agreed written arrangement specifically varies a general term, the written arrangement will normally prevail for that order to the extent legally permissible.
26. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and applicable laws of Australia, subject to any mandatory consumer protections or other rights that cannot be displaced.
